Dating Advice
1. Be available. You may think that one of your
matchmaking pluses is the fact that you have this incredible job that takes up lots of time, but your dating partner won't think so. While this may be a good way to attract them in the beginning they will get tired of your bust schedule and give up quickly.
2. Don't judge so quickly. Hanging out for 1 or two hours does not mean that you could say whether this person is good or bad for you. Just because a dating partner may not have his/her best foot forward on the first date, doesn't mean they should be tossed aside. It works the other way too. Just because they have completely dazzled you on the first date it doesn't mean they are that exciting. Be sure to give it two or three dates to really make a decision.
3. Leave your ailments at the door. Even if your dating partner is a doctor, this doesn't mean you need to start discussing your many diseases. It is so unattractive and a real turn off. You don't want to come off like a hypochondriac.
4. Show a Smile. If you are having a good time, don't be afraid to show it. Singles don't want a boring, cold date. Don't be afraid to talk about fun stuff that you and your dating partner may find interesting. Don't be scared to make physical
contact like shoulder touching. Give the response that you would like to receive.
5. Be self confident but not cocky. Save the self esteem issues for marriage. Your dating partner does not want to hear that you think you are fat or insecure. But at the same time they don't need you telling them how great you are at everything you do. Actions speak louder than words, so let them figure it out themselves.
6. Listen as much as you talk.Keep the conversation at an even level. Don't blab away and don't leave it up to your date to keep the conversation interesting. You have to be just as involved as your partner is. Listen jus as much as you want to be heard.
7. Dating should not be restricted to one type. We know that you want a specific kind of person. But you should always keep your traits pretty general. How do you know you like or don't like something that you have never tried?
8. Don't reveal unless asked At least for the first date avoid talking about childhood anecdotes. Give a little bit of information at a time. It will keep the experience more interesting. Talk about current events, likes, dislikes. Not, even too much about future goals.
9. Keep your ex out. Never, under any circumstance bring up an ex, unless your date asks you about it, don't mention any past relationships. You don't want to seem like you are still attached
10. Be Funny or have a sense of humor. No one wants a stiff. Read funny things learn funny jokes or read comedies, be loose and relaxed and don't get offended at everything.
